Can One Person Really Make a Difference?

I want to help the planet and pledge to .

Sunday - Go for a walk outside with family or friends.  Don't let the weather be an excuse.

Monday Try going meatless 

Tuesday - Turn your thermostat down two degrees in cold weather . . . up two degrees in warm and  save $$. Learn How Better yet, invest in a programmable thermostat.

Wednesday - Pass up the plastic water bottle and instead opt for a reusable container. This particularly hits home with runners. Try powdered drink mixes that are easier on the planet and your wallet.

Thursday - Use the Earth Day website to search for different ways you can help the planet

Friday - Instead of dining at a large, chain restaurant, visit a local establishment and Eat Local

Saturday- Walk, jog or run down your driveway, down your street, around the block, run for a mile or more. 

In the U.S. more than 64 million people went running last year and close to 110 million walked for fitness. Imagine the impact if every individual committed to picking up a single piece of trash every time they ventured outdoors. Consider Plogging, Palking or Piking the next time you venture outdoors.
